^ meet Spike!
We adopted Spike last March. We weren’t looking to add another dog to the pack, after over a decade of being a four dog family we were quite enjoying only having two. But then I kept seeing this guy’s photo in the Facebook groups and he needed a home urgently. I fell in love with his photo and asked if we could foster with a view to adopt, if he fitted in. He did more than just fit in and we all absolutely adore him. His full intro post is over here: https://www.ruthlessphotos.com/2025/04/introducing-spike-our-newest-pack-member/
I haven’t needed to make him any collars because we have so many options that he can wear until he finishes growing. He was desexed before we adopted him so he may never be a beefy dog but so was Bruno and he kept filling out until 18mos. I did need to make him his own harness for the slat mill though because trying to get Ninja’s off and onto Spike while they’re all amped up isn’t much fun.

Unfortunately, even with a face that handsome, he’s not a natural in front of the camera! He’s been a bit of a turd actually. It just serves as a reminder that I need to put in the hard yards with his training. He’s not camera shy or afraid of the lights, he just likes to do what he wants when he wants – which includes barking at me when the food rewards aren’t coming fast enough.
